To play dress up properly and enter a world of make believe a dress is the most important part; but if you aren't a princess yourself it might not be blatantly obvious what sorts of things you will need.
1. Color: No princesses are alike; this is true of your own little princess as well. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes and it is important to pick the perfect color for their dress. Let them be involved in the color choosing process so that they can truly fall in love with their own princess dress. While you may think that pink is the perfect color for a dress, your little one may have a completely different color in mind.
2. Shoes: No outfit is complete without the shoes. Snow White has her trademark black slippers and Cinderella has hers made of glass. 3. Accessories: While the color of the dress and the perfect shoes are the most important parts, no princess outfit would be complete without accessories. Finding a headband or necklace to compliment your selection will add just the right touch. Cinderella would not be Cinderella without her black choker, so pick something unique that will set your own little princess apart from any other.
This article touched upon 3 very important parts necessary for the perfect princess dress for your own child. Choosing the perfect color, some stylish, yet well fitting shoes, and picking the right accessories will help make your little princess's dreams come true.

Simple Girls Birthday Party Ideas - Backyard Style
What little girl doesn't love the Disney princesses? Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Ariel are the most popular princesses because they are kind, beautiful and loving. Most little girls can identify with them and look up to them as role models. From backpacks to clothing, to Disney vacations, princesses are the most popular industry for children young and old alike. Because they are so popular, many children will want to have a themed princess party. To make your party easy and unique, you may want to host a picnic.
Picnics can be at a local park, in your back yard, or at the beach. Many local parks have pavilions that they reserve for occasions such as reunions or parties. Most times, these reservations are free or require a nominal deposit that is returned when cleaned. If your party is going to be a family affair with lots of attendants, a park would be the perfect locations.
If your princess party is going to be more intimate, with just a few friends, then a backyard picnic spread would be perfect! Spread out a blanket on the grass, hand out special finger foods, snacks, and cupcakes and you have the perfect party, with virtually no cleanup.
The beach is another fabulous location for a princess picnic because who doesn't love sand and swimming. Make sure to remind guests to come with sunscreen on. You could serve fish and chips on princess plates to make the beach experience authentic.
Make sure to send out invitations at least 2 weeks in advance and invite guests to wear their favorite princess dress up costume or princess outfit for the special day. If they don't have a princess dress to wear, they could wear a sundress or fancy dress that they already have.
Now that you have the location, what activities can you do at the party? Well, there are so many ideas, but a few could include face painting, water balloon races, princess scavenger hunt, swimming, pretend games, or just swinging and playing on the slides. It would also be fun to invite an adult dressed as your little girls favorite princess to show up and have a tea party with the girls. Adult princess dresses are easy to find online. You can even find ones that are machine washable. Little Adventures has a line of Adult costumes that you could use for a birthday party and could double as a Halloween costume.
To end the party, make sure you send each girl home with a princess favor. Favors are the perfect way to say thank you for coming to the party and for the gift they gave your daughter. Children love to take little trinkets home. You could have a small favor bag for each child where you may include items like the following: princess candy in the shape of a crown, tiaras, wands, crayons and a coloring page, princess gloves, and if budget allows, maybe a princess costume with a matching doll dress.

How to Host a Princess Jasmine Party From Home
Disney's Alladin is many little girl's favorite movie. Princess Jasmine is so poised and beautiful with her long black hair. She is not only beautiful, but very smart and sometimes headstrong. Many girls can identify with this 16 year old girl's tenacity and charm. Not to mention her beautiful princess outfits and Alladin's magic.
When we think of princess parties, we automatically think of the main 3 Disney princesses: Cinderella, Snow White, and Belle. If you want to be a little different and throw a unique party, try throwing a Jasmine or Alladin party! If you are inviting only girls you could focus on Jasmine. If boys are invited too, Alladin would be a great idea.
There are a lot of fun things you can do at a birthday party like this. When you send out your invitations, you could mention that each participant should wear a Jasmine costume. There are many options out there at the Disney store and other online retailers sell them as well. Little Adventures has a great Arabian Princess costume that is made of machine washable purple fabric with gold accents. It is great if you are looking for a modest costume that doesn't show the midriff of your young child or toddler. If your budget is not an issue, you could supply each child with a costume or doll dress to bring to the party. Little Adventures costumes also come in 4 sizes from 18 months all the way up to girls size 10 to fit any little girl who would like to attend the party.
On the day of the party, you could have your house decorated like an Arabian palace. Balloons and streamers in pink or purple are always a welcome addition. The Disney Store and Oriental trading company are great places to get ideas or party paraphernalia for your little girl.
At the party, you could do a game with a Genie in a bottle where birthday guests rub the bottle and are asked a question. If they get a question right, they are on their way to "freeing the Genie" and getting a prize.
In the movie Alladin, there was lots of magic and intrigue going on. If you wish, you could have a magic carpet at the party that participants could sit on and get a ride (from Dad or Grandpa) around the house. They could tell the person pulling the carpet where they want to go, and by magic, they would arrive in their desired location.
Last, but not least, you could do a simple activity like a scavenger hunt to find certain objects around the house that relate to Alladin or Jasmine. For example, you could hide a monkey (Abu) and give a clue about bananas and where they are kept in the house. You could hide other objects like a king's crown, a genie lamp, a princess crown, gold coins, and a princess outfit. You could have enough for each guest to take home hidden at each spot and that would be their party favor to take home.
Serve cake and ice cream and voila! An instant and fun birthday party that kids will love and you will too because these ideas are simple, easy, and can be carried out on a budget, or scale it up and spend as much as you want on getting fancy dresses and party favors for your child and her friends.

How to Host a Unique Fairy Princess Tea Party
Little girls love everything pink. There is nothing better in their eyes than a pretty Disney princess room all decked out in pink with accents of purple and white.
Start by painting an accent wall or all of the walls in pink. You can choose a color by printing up a picture of Sleeping Beauty and matching the color to her dress. If you want to tone it down a little, and not have it so bright, you can use a pink in the same color tone. Your local Home Improvement store can help you with that. Lowe's has it's own line of Disney paint colors, so in that case you wouldn't even need to bring in a picture as they would have one in store. They have brochures that will give you ideas on how to paint and decorate your child's room in a variety of themes, including Disney princesses. Keep the accents in the room light. The baseboards and doors should remain white as it breaks up all of the pink.
Next, the bedding. Choose bedding that is beautiful, but is also durable and machine washable. There are many princess quilts out there on the market. Try your local discount store to find bargains on kids sheets and comforters or look online to find special sales and deals on popular princess bedding.
Choosing the right decorations can be the hardest part of designing your child's new room. There are so many princess items out there, it's hard to know which one would be best. Start simple, add a few accents in like a Sleeping Beauty doll on the dresser or a princess mirror on the wall. To add a unique touch to the walls in the room, you could even put up some framed photographs of your child dressing up to be her favorite princess. You can add other princesses in like Cinderella, Snow White, Belle and Ariel slowly as you find things you think will belong in the room and not just make it full of clutter.
If this princess room is a surprise for your little girl, you could get some princes toys to add in. You could put a few princess dress up costumes in her closet to complete the look if the room is a gift for a birthday or other special occasion. No little girl can resist looking like her favorite princess. You could even hang a Sleeping Beauty Dress on the wall for decoration. Try getting 3 nice white pegs at your local Home Improvement store and hanging 3 princess dresses along a long wall for a stunning and unique effect.
The finishing touch is always the curtains. Choose frilly curtains to make a big impact. Everything in the room doesn't have to have princesses on it. Try some white lacy curtains or sheer white curtains to give dimension and interest to the windows and to the room itself.

Wedding Cake Ideas - Princess Cake
I cannot recall the exact time of the first time I watched Cinderella but I still remember covering my face with my mom's sofa pillows as I gazed Cinderella kissing the prince in front of their fabulous wedding cake as the narrator said "...and they lived happily ever after" through the pillows edges. As I grow up, I still remember the feeling I hope I will be getting: the feeling I got when I watched the romantic cartoon. This maybe is embarrassing but true. I believe most girls in the world carry the dream of being a cartoon princess and live happily ever after in their marriage life with their prince charming in their hearts.
A Princess Wedding Cake is a sweet touch, a dream come true, and maybe the most daring choice a girl can ever make among all wedding cake ideas. Though your prince charming doesn't dance and doesn't ride a white horse to your reception, you both still can do the kissing in front of your pretty cartoon princess wedding cake. Yes, some girls don't grow old, fellas. They just grow taller and gain more weights! Cinderella wedding has many more interesting bits; it was not only the cake, it was all the decorations, wedding outfits, guests' costumes, and impersonated side characters. See girls, if you are planning to have a princess cake; you are not loosing your sanity.
Most people might think this is childish. You don't have to settle a kiddy topper for your wedding cake; you just take the basic colors used in that princess wedding. The most famous and well known classic romantic cartoon is Cinderella. You may have your cake colored in pink and blue, as the main colors used in Cinderella was pink and blue. For some romantic touch, add white ribbons or white roses. But if you are daring enough, set a glass shoe miniature as your wedding cake topper or a pumpkin carriage candle alongside the cake as decoration.
This wedding is yours and entering new day as a married woman should be fun! You go Princess!

How to Choose a Good Children's Charity
Many of us want to give. We like to help others who may be less fortunate than ourselves. There are many worthy causes to support and foundations to donate to. The following are charitable foundations that have stood the test of time and are worthy organizations for your hard earned money. All of them provide forms for you to fill out in order to get a write off on your taxes.
Make a Wish Foundation grants special gifts or visits to children with life-threatening medical conditions such as cancer. Some requests are as simple as a princess costume for a little girl with a visit from Cinderella or a soldier outfit for a sick boy who has always dreamed of being an army captain just like his dad. You can of course just give monetary donations, but it is so much more rewarding to learn the stories of the children and grant their wish personally.
Another favorite is the Princess Alexa Foundation. Alexa is a 4 year old with cancer. She loves the Disney princesses and to dress up in fancy princess dresses. She noticed that her hospital's toy box was void in this area even though it is children's most popular play items. In her honor, her family has a goal to obtain 2000 dress up costumes to donate to local children's hospitals to help bring joy to ill children. They have reached their half way mark due to generous donations from companies like Little Adventures who donated hundreds. It is a worthy cause and Princess Alex will tug on your heartstrings as you learn more about her and how you can help her get additional princess dresses and accessories.
The Ronald McDonald house is a wonderful children's charity that helps low income families meet the financial obligations of high medical bills and housing to be near specialized hospitals.
If you need more ideas, see Children's Charities of America for a list of trusted charities in your own area.
